The Connecticut College Democrats is the official arm of the College Democrats of America at Connecticut College and is an affiliate of the College Democrats of Connecticut. The Connecticut College Democrats or CCDems was founded in early Spring 2004 and has been an active participant in Connecticut and national Democratic politics ever since. As laid out in our Constitution the goal of this organization is to stimulate political thought and activity on the Connecticut College campus, promote interest in governmental affairs, support the Democratic Party of the United States, and advance its principles and ideals for the enrichment of the community. Our board and membership enact these goals by working on area campaigns, municipal, state and federal, hosting speakers and workshops for the campus and local community, championing voter registration and volunteering at area non-profits.
