Jen is a Connecticut native who grew up in state and local politics, helping to elect Democratic candidates up and down the ballot in Torrington. Before coming to Connecticut College, she served as President and Vice President of her local high school Dems for three out of four years. When the CC Dems were founded at the end of her freshman year she became Party Chair in which position she served all of her sophomore year working to coordinate college volunteers for the 2004 elections. During her sophomore year she also became a member of the Public Policy Program at Connecticut College, where she is researching voter mobilization within the Latino community. Jen became the President of the CCDems in the Fall of 2005 and worked to help the New London Dems retain their majority on the city council and initiated the groups door to door voter outreach and registration program. She took a break from the club and U.S. politics in the Spring of '06 when she went to Vietnam to study economics for four months. Now back in the states Jen is working on Joe Courtney's Campaign for Congress (CT-2) and is looking forward to Nov. 7th and electing a Democratic Governor and Congress. Jen is an International Relations major and Economics minor.
